Latte keeps your Mac awake while coding agents work, through idle, the lock screen and a closed lid. Approvals come to your phone. When the work is done, your Mac goes to sleep.

npm testAgents work for hours.
You shouldn't have to sit there.
Your Mac falls asleep mid-run
Walk away and macOS sleeps after a few idle minutes. Close the lid on battery and it sleeps instantly. Either way, the agent stops and waits for you.
Stuck on a prompt for 55 minutes
“Run npm test?” You were at the gym. The agent sat there the whole time, waiting for one tap.
Keep-awake apps don't know when to stop
They hold the Mac awake long after the work is done, drain the battery and let it cook in your bag.
Every way a Mac falls asleep. Handled.
Lid closed is the famous one, but a Mac finds plenty of ways to nod off mid-run. Latte covers them all, and only while an agent is actually working.

It handled it.
Latte plugs into each agent's official hooks, so it knows exactly when real work is happening, and when it isn't.
Start a long task
Kick off a migration, a refactor or a test suite in Claude Code, Codex or Grok.
Close the lid and go
Latte holds the Mac awake through idle, the lock screen and a closed lid, while it watches the heat and charge.
Tap Approve on your phone
Permission prompts and questions arrive on Telegram or ntfy. One tap and the agent carries on.
Done, and asleep
You get “finished, worked 1h 52m”. Then Latte lets go and the Mac sleeps like normal.

A Mac running in a backpack needs someone watching it. Latte watches the battery, the heat and the agents, and the hard limits can't be switched off.
Battery floor
Lets the Mac sleep at the level you choose, and always at 7%. It never runs flat in your bag.
Heat guard
Pauses agents when the Mac gets hot and resumes them once it cools down. At critical heat it always sleeps.
Stuck-run detection
Same command over and over, no files changing? Latte pauses the agent and tells you.
Network aware
Pauses agents while you're offline instead of letting them fail every request.
Watchdog
If Latte ever stops responding, normal sleep comes straight back. Never stuck awake.

A small cup next to the clock. Steam means agents are working and the Mac is awake. No steam means it's free to sleep.

Questions, answered.
Is it safe to run my MacBook with the lid closed in a bag?
Latte is built for exactly that. It pauses agents when the Mac gets hot and sleeps it if the heat doesn't drop. It sleeps at your battery floor, and always at 7%. A watchdog restores normal sleep if Latte ever stops responding. Running on battery with the lid closed is off until you switch it on.
How is this different from caffeinate or Amphetamine?
Keep-awake apps don't know what your agents are doing. Latte uses each agent's official hooks, so it holds the Mac awake only while real work is happening. It works with the lid closed on battery, brings approvals to your phone, guards the hardware, and lets the Mac sleep as soon as the work is done.
Will my Mac never sleep now?
It will. Latte only holds the Mac awake while an agent is actually working, or for a few minutes while one waits for your answer. The screen can still turn off. When the work is done, Latte lets go and your Mac sleeps on its usual schedule.
Which agents does it support?
Claude Code, OpenAI Codex CLI and Grok CLI. Latte connects to each with one click and backs up their config first. Phone approvals and questions work with Claude Code today. Pausing, status and finished alerts work with all three.
Does Latte see my code or prompts?
No. Everything about your work stays on your Mac. Latte's server only knows your email, which Macs you use and your plan. Phone messages go through your own Telegram bot or ntfy topic, never through us.
What happens when my trial ends?
Any agent that's already running gets to finish. Then Latte steps back and your Mac sleeps like normal. Subscribe any time from the menu bar and Latte switches straight back on.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Latte checks your plan once a day, and a paid plan keeps working offline for up to 14 days.
What do I need?
A Mac on macOS 14 Sonoma or later. For phone alerts, a Telegram account or the ntfy app. To keep running with the lid closed, approve a small helper once with your admin password.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from Account settings in Latte. You keep Latte until the end of the month you've paid for.

You go live your life.
